Falling Skies is an American science-fiction television series created by Robert Rodat. The two-hour pilot episode premiered on Sunday, June 19th on TNT.

Falling Skies takes place in Boston, Massachusetts, six months after an alien invasion wipes out 90% of Earth's population. It follows the story of Tom Mason, his family, and the 2nd Massachusetts Militia Regiment as they attempt to fight the aliens, called Skitters, Mechs, and Overlords and defend mankind.
