Dale Dye is an American actor and retired U.S. Marine Captain. He has been in many films and TV shows, usually portraying military characters. He portrays Brigadier General Jim Porter in Falling Skies. In between takes he drills extras on military etiquette. Dale also acted in and consulted for the 1986 Oscar winner Platoon.
